General Information Wound Filters
Our type of wound filter cartridge is a depth filter and has an open structure on the outside and tapers conically
from the outside in. Due to these tapered filter layers and denser structure, the cartridge has a large dirt collection.
The wounded elements can be supplied by us in lengths ranging from 4½ “to 60”.
As a filter specialist, we can produce and deliver not only the standard lengths, but also deviating Custom Made dimensions.
The micronage at the wounded filters varies from 0.5 micron to no less than 250 micron.
All our wound filters are of the highest quality and meet today’s requirements.
The winding of the polypropylene, consists of washed and bleached filter material and therefore does not release adhesive residues or production dirt.
Specifications
We supply filters as a Double open end version (DOE) and as a Single open end version (SOE).
With the SOE version we have various end cap styles, see table below.
The inner core can be made of polypropylene, stainless steel or tin-plated steel.
In addition to polypropylene as a filter winding, this type of element can also be designed with Nylon, Glass fiber or Cotton as filter material.
The choice here depends on the process, wish and necessity in the filtration process. Chemical and thermal resistance play a role in this.

In addition to the standard versions with a diameter of 60-65 mm, we also have filters in the Big Blue version.
These cartridges have a diameter of 100 to 110 mm. This thicker version has a longer service life to catch dirt and can also handle a larger flow. JMF-Filters B.V. produces and supplies both nominal and absolute filtration cartridges.
Process situation
The use of these filter products are an effective and inexpensive way to filter.
Low operating costs and easy handling make these cartridges a widely used filtration solution.
Frequently applied markets from our regular customer base are: Paint, pigments, process water, waste water, cooling water, cutting fluids, inks, glycerol and the oil & gas industry. But also various other filtration markets, such as drinking water preparation.
In addition to our filter production, we have a large quantity in stock in our warehouse in Purmerend, so that delivery can almost always take place the same day. If not in stock, we can deliver from production within a few days.
