General info Suction Pad Scanner Technology

Explore the power of fully automatic self-cleaning filter systems, available in various versions including ones featuring advanced suction pad scanner technology. These high-performance filtration systems are designed to filter liquids with solid particles and colloidal materials under demanding conditions, including higher temperatures and chemical-rich environments.

During the filtration process, the liquid flows through the filter from the inside out. The inline or bypass placement options offer added flexibility. The filter screens’ selectivity ranges from 25 to 3,000 microns and the materials include stainless steel 304, 316, Wedge Wire material (also known as Trislot material), and stainless steel with a Nylon Tissue filter cloth.

Two analog and digital transmitters measure the pressure difference as the filter screen or cloth becomes dirty, providing both visual cues for operators and digital triggers for the self-cleaning operation. When the pressure differential reaches a certain point, the system enters self-cleaning mode.

The flushing function based on Delta P is adjustable, typically recommended between 0.6 and 1.2 Bar differential pressure. Time control rinsing is also possible, depending on the process situation, type of liquid, and contamination level.

During the flushing cycle, the drain opens and the suction pad scanner (or squeegee scanners) rotates. This action vacuums the inside of the filter screen or cloth, flushing out contamination. After 10-20 seconds (adjustable), the system returns to its standard filtration mode. This ensures continuous flux and efficient operation.

Versions & Material

The fully automatic, self-cleaning filter system is offered in three distinct versions – Y-Shape, L-Shape, and O-Shape. The choice of version depends on the positioning of the In/Out connections, the process requirements, and the filtration solution needs.

All filter systems come as turn-key solutions, complete with valves, gauges, and an electronic controller. The robust Rotor HP Filter systems are available in various materials such as stainless steel 304 or 316, Duplex 2205, and a durable Polyurethane coating (class ISO 12944 / Marine Environments C5-M), making them suitable for diverse environments and applications.

The self-cleaning filter can be supplied with connection sizes ranging from 2” to DN200 as standard versions. However, larger and different sizes can also be accommodated, ensuring a tailored filter solution for every situation.
