General Information Disc Filters

Disc filters are often used as pre-filtration in water treatment. Whether this concerns groundwater, waste water, tap water, process water or greywater, with a disc filter it is easy to filter and clean the filter cartridge.
The disc filter is easy to clean by unscrewing the discs at the top, creating space between the stacked filtration rings. Now the disc filter can be rinsed fairly easily under the tap.
The disc filter is available in 5”, 10”, 10” and 20” Big Blue version. The micronages are 30, 70 & 130 microns.

Process situation

A filter system with a disc filter as pre-filtration is usually used to filter sand from water, but coarser particles can also be filtered with this filtration system. The operating temperature is ideally between 2 and 30°C.
